Is this Real McCoy's Coach jacket suitable for toning down a tailored outfit?

I am thinking about getting this jacket to tone down my fits for casual occasions where I still would like to dress 'preppier' and to incorporate some tailoring elements, but am having a hard time figuring out if it is suitable.

For example, pairing it with:
- A dress shirt; OCBD; or a fine sweater such as this
- Pleated trousers like these
- Black or brown penny loafers

Do you think that the jacket would work in this context or is it too casual?

Thanks!

I think that jacket is too casual for the trousers. Chinos, fatigues, and jeans would work much, much better.

Natalino make an overshirt that would go much better with the specified trousers.

I agree with you and have the Natalino overshirt, which pairs with their trousers really well indeed. I guess I am trying to find a reason to buy that specific jacket outside of the casual context.
