bump for recommedations.

I am considering a snap on case (it is really slim) or a leather pouch.

I have an iphone 4s and it will be my phone until the iphone 5 comes out. I have gone through 2 iphones since they came to Verizon and I have never used a case. I am considering one this time because my last iphone was dropped a couple times. The leather pouch seems like a nice option but I often keep my phone on silent when I am in class or the library but I still want to be able to be aware of what is going on.

In terms of a pouch - http://www.hellbrandleather.bigcart...n-horween-chromexcel-iphone-cardholder-sleeve - I'm gonna pick up one soon. Everything is made to order - so you can dictate leather color, stitching color, etc.

I currently use a Griffin snap-on case. They have great options, and they're durable (no color fade, etc.)

If you're just worried about breaking the back, go with something like this:  http://shop.materialsix.com/

I have one in a wood called Wenge and it's spectacular.

That is pretty cool! I would buy it but I am not into the wood look, now if they had a carbon fiber version of that, or a aluminum or titanium, I would definitely buy.

Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, I have decided to stick with the bare phone, I only plan on keeping it until the iphone 5 comes out anyway so I should be fine. BUT if anyone knows of a company like material6 that replaces the entire back part of the phone and makes the covers of carbon fiber please let me know, I will buy in a heart beat.

I currently have the Vaja "iVolution" and I like it. In fact I've had a couple Vaja cases over the years and continue to be pleased with their quality and service.

Here's an image from their site of a stock color combo though you can customize for just a little more.

Oops - I see you've decided not to buy one for now...
