Since there are so many Vass maniacs on this forum I am putting these for consideration here before they go on eBay.
One of the shoes was on display and is slightly lighter than the other. I guess this effect could be reversed by some skilled polishing.

S., do you have a theory about the crease in the darker, presumably undisplayed right shoe?

I know it doesn't look like it in the picture but the right shoe of the pair was the onneon disply and the crease is most likely from being tried on. Most Cordovan seems to crease easily like that - one reason I personaly don't like it very much.

Unless there is something going on with the angle of the pic, that doesn't look like the Budapest last, looks like 3636.

I'd grab these if they were my size.

If you want to even them up and speed up the patina development you could pull a Beau Brummell and set them both in the window to bask in the sunlight. I imagine they'd even up in color over time.
