How to store a Montichristi Panama hat?

Gentlemen,

I just got a new hat from Brent Black in Hawaii and was wondering if you had any recommendations for how to store it. I looked online and all the hat stands I found were cheap and poorly made. Any recommendations?

Nice! I just put mine on a shelf with the front brim hanging over the edge. Keeps its shape best that way.

I use a head form, some are foam, old ones are wood, and I have an upper shelf in a walk in closet, I use a natural linen cover, to keep dust off.

Thank you for the ideas... I have a bit of searching to do for a head form... Not much that I can find on the internet...

Why not ask the seller how to store hats?

I store hats one of two ways:
1) On a hat rack,
2) In the hat box on the crown.

Fine panamas in the "optimo" shape are supposed to be able to be rolled up.

The important thing is that the brim isn't supporting the weight of the hat, as it can become deformed over time.
