Question for all participants with extensive collections: do all your shoes and/or boots have their own shoe trees?
Yes. I have almost 40 shoes and all of them have shoe trees.

Question for all participants with extensive collections: do all your shoes and/or boots have their own shoe trees?
you have 16 pairs that you have never worn and you want to buy 22 more pairs?I own 20 pairs of dress shoes:
3 Norwegian-welted Sutor Mentallassi
3 JL
2 G&G
2 EG
2 Enzo Bonafe hand-made
2 Carmina
2 Zegna Couture
1 Norwegian-welted Paolo Scafora
1 Vass F last
1 Santoni Limited Edition
1 Stefano Brianchini
Out of these, 16 are new and unworn. I intend to acquire the following over the next few years:
4 Antonio Meccariello
4 G&G
2 JL (Black Chapel and Jermyn II)
2 Vass
2 Stefano Bemer
2 Passus
2 Yeossal
1 Norman Vilalta
1 Santoni Limited Edition
That would bring me to a total of 40 dress shoes.
Why would I need more shoes over a lifetime?
hahaha...yes...its an addiction. But look at the company I'm keeping? Some SFers on this thread own 300+ pairs and one guy claims to own 1,000 pairs. Do you think all their shoes are well-worn?you have 16 pairs that you have never worn and you want to buy 22 more pairs?
That’s what 1000 pair guy said a while ago.Just 20 more....that's all I want....hahahaha
Obviously, I don't need to buy more shoes out of necessity. At this point, I'm buying the best shoes available out of appreciation for their artistic quality. My double-soled EGs for instance are just beautiful, not to mention G&G, that look great and feel even better when you wear them. Paolo Scafora Norwegian wholecuts are works of art, and I've gained a new appreciation for Santoni limited edition. They are comfortable straight out of the box and are created with elegant lasts.you have 16 pairs that you have never worn and you want to buy 22 more pairs?
hahaha...yeah...that's me in 10 years....the guy with shoes stacked in every corner of his apartment, with enough space only for my laptop. That’s what 1000 pair guy said a while ago.
It's obviously an addiction, but as addictions go, its not the worst. And....women genuinely notice your shoes.....That’s what 1000 pair guy said a while ago.
I'll probably give away my shoes when they become well worn, and either make due with what I have or buy new ones. I like new shoes for some reason.I had more than 40, now I have less than 20. At some point of time I donated many pairs from my collection. I like the look of well worn shoes and natural patina that develops over time. Kind of impossible to achieve if you have too many pairs of shoes and wear each pair only a few times a year.
