Seriously, they're just material things. Move on, and next time let those damn cats on trees fall, they don't die anyway.

Eh, count your blessings. I recently put a big tear in the back of my best cashmere blazer, an Attolini.

I recently put a tear in a 10 day old leather jacket. I was able to have it repaired, but it will never look quite right again. I've decided that this just gives the jacket "character."

As to the question of the OP, I cope by buying more clothes.

Curse and buy new ones. Life can be a ***** at times but there is more to life than worring about this or even posting emails about it.

I think he has a right to post whatever he wants.

It seems all in good fun anyhow. Didn't notice any overly serious overtones, or missing the clothes obsessively like losing a loved one(which would be overdoing it)

No need to marginalize the OP's post.

Was it due to age of the jacket ?

Instead of burying them so that the dogs can dig them up later and play house, why not see if you can donate them to a local charity thrift store?

I'd say stay away from Goodwill and places like that; look for a Salvation Army store, as, unlike Goodwill, they are not in it for a profit, and so your clothes will be affordable to the people who really need them instead of becoming just another player in the evil system known as capitalism

How do I cope? Sulking and crying usually. Not sure if that counts as "coping" however!

If you're going to bust out the kilts, I think "Oh Danny Boy" is more appropriate
