How do AE Strands fit compared to the Player's Shoe?

I want to pick up a pair of AE Strands, but they don't carry them anywhere in town.

I tried on a pair of the Player's Shoe in 9D, and they fit great, so I'm wondering how the Strands (in 9D) would fit in comparison?

I know the Strand comes on the #5 last, and the Player's Shoe comes on the Executive last (222)... how similar are those two lasts? Will I be fine in a pair of 9D Strands?

Thanks!

I have the Lombard (which is essentially the Player not in suede) and it fits very similar to the 5 last AE's I have.

I don't own the Strand, so cannot comment about that that shoe precisely. But the Executive 2 last is very similar in fit to the 5 last.

The Player is a blucher and the Strand is a balmoral, so there will be some difference. But I'm comparing my Lombard to Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue and they are similar in fit.

I have two shoes on the five last, the Strand and the Cambridge. I just bought a pair of the Players. I wear a 10D in the Strand/Cambridge and a 10.5D in the Player. The five last is a bit narrow for my feet but the 10E is too wide. The 10.5D in the Player fits great. It is really hard to generalize on these things because everyone has different shaped feet. Good luck.

I have both and they both fit pretty similar although the 5 last is perfect for me.

Note the Player's is on the Welted-2 (222) last, not the Executive-2 last!

I think the Executive 2 and 222 are essentially the same last. I believe the difference the sole used.
