I've never seen an English maker use a marking for a combination last (D/B). Also,, if they're Cheaney, they'll have "Made In Leather Insole England" stamped on the insole.

While I'm at it, does this look like a real Polo by Ralph Lauren label? I ask because the labels I've seen online seem to all have "Ralph Lauren" in lowercase letters, unlike this. I'm curious how old this blazer is and who made it, since it's fully canvassed and has nice hand stitching, but was presumably made in America, judging by the union label. Anyone know?

Definitely real, from between 1968 (when Polo was founded) and 1975 (when the union label design changed). I don't think I've ever seen an answer on here re: who made the US Polo stuff. I imagine there was a much bigger pool of US makers back then, and it may not be from a name we'd even recognize.

By the way, it's hard to tell for sure from the fit pic you posted in the thrift thread, but I don't think it fits you very well.

Not sure about those Paul Stuarts, though I'm curious to find out.

Those were most likely made in the late 60's to 70's when RL had his own factories pumping these out before PRL were contracted to Corn. This was confirmed by a who made what RL thread. I'm sure you can find that thread by searching it. I don't have the link on hand atm.

Can anyone help me out with the size on these. I think they are 6.5 or 7's from how they fit me (I wear a 7 or 7.5 and they are a tad too small) and the number "465" would be a 6.5 from the research I have done. Can anyone confirm? Not sure what the width would be though.
