I followed up again 10 days ago about my order placed on Nov. 15 -- I got a response indicating that they're short on the fabric I had chosen, and asking if I could choose a different one instead, and offering a free pair of trousers or shirt. I said ok but still no idea when I'll receive it.

They’re telling you they don’t have fabric for an order you placed 3 months ago and that should have shipped 2 months ago? Amazing.

if there is a reliable way to tell what's actually in stock, then I'll probably order from Hertling again, in the mean time, no...

Production issues aside, does anyone know if Hertling will cut trousers from fabric provided by the customer, i.e. can I send them my own fabric and have them make me a pair of trousers out of it?

Given how hectic hertling is even if he can I would personally not do it unless I drop it off at his Brooklyn shop then found someone personally accountable...

I got through to them. Same issue. Flash sale, they oversold, my fabric I chose was out of stock (grey donegal). I had him make me something else completely that wasn't in the flash sale (a solid grey number that is more three seasons appropriate since I won't likely see if before winter ends).

I think hertling is semi desperate now, so they might actually do it now (with you taking the uncertainty), once they get to a good footing and streamline everything is probably the time they will not do it, so a catch 22...
