Looking to buy a few suits online, however need to know the difference between an American Cut suit and European cut suit. (Excuse me if this has been dealt with before on here but I have not found the answer searching on the forums)
I have a 40S Hugo boss suit which is a great fit, can anyone help me with the approximate sizing for Ralph Lauren or any other recommended American suit brands on this forum. I have been told that American suits tend to be a FULLER cut compared to the SLIMMER cut of the Europeans, which is something I have heard several times before. I cant work my way around the sizings on websites etc. so was hoping someone on this forum who may be a European 50 (American 40) could direct me to the right sort of sizing for FULLER American suits.
It may be that I need a 38R American cut to equate to a 40S European Cut?
