I am hoping that someone can give me some idea of which maker most likely had a hand in this recent purchase of mine. It was from Filene's Basement in Washington D.C. today. Red label above inside pocket says LUCIANO BARBERA collezione sartoriale handmade in italy. Cleaning label says GRILUX S.p.A. There is also a white paper garment label stapled on sleeve that states: Customer 0000055 Cloth X22195 TypeD2123000 Size 48 Drop Order 510347 Nuc 51005150. No other info anywhere. It's a bit bold in styling but I'm taken with the design, material and especially the stripes. I saw a similiar one on thesartorialist.

My best guess would be Attolini.

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with Barbera suits but it looks fantastic!

I do not find the styling too bold. I"ve been searching for a quality suit with a cloth like that for a while now.

I have a navy flannel Luciano Barbera Sartoriale that was made for Bergdorf Goodman. It's a great suit, although a bit on the heavyweight side for Melbourne lately. Looks great in winter.

Thracozaag, what leads you to believe this suit is by Attolini?

Around two years ago, Attolini started making suits for the Luciano Barbera Sartoriale (their highest end) label. I don't know if this arrangement is still in effect, and I would have to see better pictures of the suit in question to be sure.

I guess that means the OP could be an Attolini, but mine's older than that. I was just curious if you'd spotted something on the label that I could check against mine.

Check the forums for a post by A Harris , he described a way to check where it was made.
