HELP WITH FABRIC OPTIONS : NYLON WEBBING

Hi All,

I'm currently designing a short and I want to use some type of weaving / webbing effect. I don't really want to use leather or suede. Ideally something that is mid / light weight. I came across an image of webbed nylon. The type you see on bags and belts. That type of material gets pretty heavy and thick. Not really great for a short.

So my question is. Would anyone have any relevant suggestions?
