Hackett Sample Sale. An entrance fee of £2 cash will be charged for all entries into the sale. All monies raised from the entrance fee will go to the charity Make a Wish, who grant magical wishes to children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Fack, I bought a Hackett SC that was marked a sample last year and its one of my best fitting pieces. Someone let me know how it looks in there.

Missed opportunity. I would have gladly paid a £2 browser's fee for the items to be available online too.

What a madhouse. The queue to pay was an hour long. Got a few Christmas presents. You would not believe how long it took to find a rugby shirt without a 12" diameter faux gilded crest. The sweaters and rugbys and shirts were in giant twisted piles by the time I showed up, two hours in, with boxes of unsorted items scattered about the aisles. Totally disorganized. They did have some nice ties, tweed bags, and fair isle items, though most basics were more expensive than the Gieves sale a couple weeks ago, and not everything as nice.

They did, however, have trousers for £20, or 3 for £50. I got some nice burnt orange moleskins. Hopefully they fit, as there were no changerooms (not even the creepy communal room like upstairs at Truman). The jackets were generally interesting, lots of checks, and they also had a variety of dressing gowns, mostly in larger sizes. I got a nice navy blue cashmere & wool blend, though the belt doesn't seem to match exactly. If you are around a 40R you can easily get a three piece morning suit for £150. 36 was pretty picked over, though surprisingly they had a few 34R and 34S.

If you intend to go, go soon, as I'm not sure they are restocking, and I saw people with garbage bags full of stuff.
