There's another thread going about some seriously hideous shoes, so I thought I'd post the Gravity Defyer shoes from Alexander, Innovation Wizard. If you're a frequent traveller you've no doubt run across these in the SkyMall.

What is the innovative wizardry behind these shoes? You may have a tough time getting your head around the science here, but:

My favorite part is the copy that describes how elegant these shoes are:

Look like a Million Dollars
We all have them, an expensive pair of dress shoes for those special occasions. The shoes that world famous secret agents wear to the black tie party where they end up doing some reconnaissance before they are chased around a European city by evil henchmen. The kind of dress shoes that show class, style, and sophistication but are so uncomfortable you can't wait to take them off. Designed by the best shoe designers from three continents, the Gravity DefyerTM Shoes provide you with all the sophistication and comfort needed to keep up with the best of the world famous secret agents.
Who writes this copy? 11 year old rhesus monkeys? What good is a secret agent if he's world famous?

Anyways, to these "million dollar" shoes:

Just $200/pair! Do I sense a StyleForum feeding frenzy coming on?

One of my favorite Skymall ads. He has a competitor now too.

My favorite is that he gave himself the "Alexander Innovation Wizard" award

No, but they fart like a whoopie cushion through the air-hole.

Who the hell buys the crap in that section of the SkyMall? I mean, I guess I understand maybe getting the magic wand from Harry Potter for your 8-year-old, but they sell a replica of that thingamajig from the Da Vinci Code! And it costs like $200!

And he appears in all the ads, looking like a colossal DB.

Those shoes would go great combined with pleated khakis worn at the hip, an oversized polo shirt covering one's gut, and a cell phone clipped on the belt. Considering the target market, I'd suggest that the toe be made more square and chunky.
