That's how I feel about CE.

But +1 on the zojirushi.

Find an Asian/Indian wife/girlfriend.

I've heard nothing but good things about Zojirushi. Plan on getting one one day soon for oatmeal as I don't eat much rice and besides what was mentioned already in this thread, I've read that they're excellent for oatmeal. The timer is what's most attractive to me so breakfast can be ready in the a.m. with minimal work.

I used to have a cheap one. Bought it myself. It burned the rice and had stuff sticking to the bottom every freaking time.

Then my mom bought me a Zoji (simple model, no logic, just one lever to push) and I have never gone wrong since. Highly recommended.

I got a $35 Aroma today at Wal-Mart because I wanted to make rice today. Actually seems pretty nice except that it takes an hour and a half to make brown rice. I think I'm going to order those Zoji ones.

What I love about the Zoji:
1) It looks so cool - like a robot that serves rice out of it's head.
2) The idiot proof mixing guidelines are priceless. Add x cups of rice, fill up to this line.
3) Retractable cord - Why aren't all appliances like this?
4) Seems like it was designed for minimal touching - quick release top with single finger press.
5) Carry hand is awesome. Make rice, retract cord, carry rice to table, pop top open and serve.

All other models:
No carry handle, so you burn your hands on the sides.
No retractable cord, so you trip over the cord and fall down a flight of stairs.
No quick release top, so you fight the top open, then it shoots scaulding hot rice on your face.
