Good cheap tailor for hemming in SF

Hello SF,

Noob here. I am looking to get two pairs of brand new Incotexes hemmed. I am currently in SF and was wondering if there is a good, cheap tailor where I can get them hemmed. I did use the search function and so far I have seen many recommendations for Oxford tailors. Is that a good place to go for something as simple as hemming or will I overpay? How much is average for hemming? I don't want to pay too much since each pair cost me only $55.

While I haven't lived in the bay area for a number of years, if you are just going for a simple hem (cuff or no cuff), you can honestly just use a dry cleaner with tailors on premises, with specific instructions on how you want them hemmed. Shouldn't cost you more than $10.

Or, there is Cable Car tailors if you're around Union Square.

For really simple hems with no cuffs I use my local dry cleaner/alterations place. It's about 10 bucks. I go to Oxford for all other stuff. To shorten and cuff is about 25. Cable Car is good too and really quick.

I've never lived in SF but I just got back, today in fact, a suit and two pair of trousers, all needing some form of alteration, hemming included, and it cost me a total of $74, plus tax. That's Honolulu, HI prices there...

I use San Francisco Tailors for most everything except selvedge denim. They're next to Neiman Marcus. For selvedge demim, go to Selfedge. Chainstiching for $15.

As unreliable as yelp is, it seems that there has been a change in management and the quality has gone down since then.
