1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Any general advice or suggested stores I should hit up?
From what I hear, everything is ridiculously expensive (that probably means I should put a hold on all shopping until my trip[IMG] ).

Have not been to Tokyo for many years, but hear that United Arrrows/Sovereign House has a nice selection.

Nice little store with a good selection. But good luck finding anything larger than a US36.

I'm a 38s/9.5. Not a giant of a man by Western (or any) standards. So i'm optimistic.

Exactly. I'm 5 foot 10 and not even close to being hefty but I found sizing a real problem. Spanked my hard-earned on accessories instead

I am 5'9" and a 36r, and I was a LARGE at Comme Ca in Shinjuku. Wanna bring me back some raw sake and Japanese whiskey? [IMG] Oh, and cartons of Seven Star cigarettes? [IMG] $20 a carton at the duty-free shop on your way home.

Also, make sure to check out Harajuku for teh ladiez! They dress up like every Japanese stereotype you could imagine, wrapped into one.

Purchase a Kirin Strong 7 from 7/11 and drink it in the streets for me!

    In Japan now.

I suggest checking out Roppongi Hills. Was there yesterday they have the usual United Arrows plus some other interesting Jap designers.

Also, Burberry Black Label in Ginza maybe?

There's a great art museum in Roppongi Hills, right by Tokyo Tower. You should check both out.

Everything closes early on the 31st, almost nothing is open on the 1st. Sales starts on the 2nd. Barney's sale has already started, however.
