Not trying to be mean. Just constructive. I once didn't notice that my shirt was billowing at the waist, and got called out for it. I appreciated the constructive criticism. There's a lot of baggy jackets, un-shortened sleeves and pant legs, and huge shirt collars. Besides, I'm pretty sure that this forum thrives on pointing out minutiae.

Go to WAYWRN if you want to point out imperfections, that is where it is proper. Don't come here to the poll and make one comment, which is nothing but snark and is no way constructive.

Nice boring looks, guys! MBreinin takes it for me though. White shirt with point collar, soporific tie, standard issue charcoal suit, and to top it off... black shoes! And he still managed to look pretty cool.

Revelation: we all have too many fancy brown shoes to be truly conservative business dress.

I'm not singling anyone out and I'm certainly not attacking anyone personally. The fact is that there's a lot of poorly fitted stuff here. I don't know how to sugar coat that.

That said, I'll change venues next time (WAYWRN thread)

Holy crap! I'm in 3rd place! Quick, Spoo, close the poll now so I can die a happy man.

On that note, I'd like to thank all the BigTymers who didn't play this week and who, as a result, made more room at the top for some of us lesser beings. Very sporting.

Name names, sir, or your "critique" is nothing more than spiteful snark.

Parker, this was a snoozefest of a contest

I agree. Very close, but longwings... or any brogued shoe for that matter? (I readily admit I don't know a thing about American conservative business dress...)

I try to stick to the rules of the game. I followed your link to Manton's post and I stuck by those rules as best I could. This is not my favorite suit, but it was for sure as vanilla as they come.

Maybe I will post the Oxxford "alternative" fit and see if people like it better. I should have just cheated and wore the SP DB again.

I don't own any black shoes that aren't brogued in some way. Just longwings and wingtips. Pretty standard battleaxe stuff for the US of A.

Okay. Anyway, I think you should be in the top 3.
