Ymmv, but midnight blue is defo not my fave blue for perhaps anything other than an tux. No h8 MF.

They're awesome at night. A way to wear a dinner suit to occasions where it wouldn't be appropriate. They don't photograph well, but that hint of blue that catches your eye when the light shines in just the right way, it's amazing. It's understated, revealing its true colour only sparingly.
And with gloomy and dreary British weather, it might as well be night 24/7.

I will 100% agree that midnight blue looks a million times better in real light than in pics. Probably the hardest color to photograph.

One of the reasons some men prefer midnight blue tuxedos is due to the fact it looks 'blacker than black' under artificial light, whereas true black can get a bit of a greenish tinge under florescence. Probably a physics paper in that somewhere.

A more likely explanation would be that your suit is not actually midnight blue.This is midnight blue - but it turned out better in the pictures because our sunlight is better than your sunlight.
Hmmmmmm. New fit with mucho gray or old fit with mucho blue. WHICH ONE TO USE FOR OFFICIAL ENTRY??Since some people were not entirely convinced by my interpretation of the rules, I submit another old entry.

Got the similar impression when I saw EFV's pic. He looks like he's about to kick someone's arse. I mean just look at the poor dog's face. The dog looks like he's scurrrred as heck.

Up to @EFV ... I posted the grey fit as a bit of a tongue-in-cheek attempt to differentiate from the sea of blue, but if he deems it's not in the spirit of the rules, then the blue fit will have to do.
