Wrong information. Artling starts at 800 for suits, not jackets.

No way you'll find MTM with half canvas around 500 EUR. Online isn't nearly the same thing. Opt for Boggi or Suit Supply in that price range and go RTW.

No option that I know of outside of Paris that would be around that price area

I understand Suit Supply is a half canvas? What's Boggi like?

That is no feather in the Cifo hat if taken from the perspective of decency and class.
Not that I blame them for taking his order.

If that ia a 4yr old family member or friend(or pseudo client favor), fine, but if that is just some wealthy person's order at full price then what a bloody idiot.
Again, not that they shouldn't take the order and part that fool from some of their money.
At least in this case there is not some possible implication to appeal to the masses.
By the time the adjustment fitting comes around you might need to cut a new pattern.

Paris (AFP) - A close advisor to Francois Hollande resigned on Friday after allegations about a conflict of interest and his extravagant lifestyle dealt a fresh blow to the beleaguered French president.

In a statement to AFP, senior political advisor Aquilino Morelle, 51, said he was stepping down but denied any wrongdoing in a scandal that has put the spotlight on his collection of 30 pairs of bespoke shoes.

"I have decided to put an end to my duties as an advisor to the presidency of the republic... to be entirely free to respond to these attacks," Morelle said.

That Yak jacket is exceptionally cool. Though not many opportunities to wear it here in Oz. Plus it would be way too weird for the locals to cope with as well.

Yeah, I might ask Lorenzo to notch the lapel to make it more wearable, but I don't know how that affects other aspects of the jacket. I think means I will lose a buttonhole. Will find out on Monday.

These are terrible pictures, but as I get ready for date night with the wife I wanted to post smoke quick shots of one aspect of what makes Cifonelli unique. The front of the jacket is incredibly clean. There is no drape. The arm holes are high and tiny. The chest fits to the skin and is slightly turned in. But it is comfortable and that is because of the drape in the back. You can see the symmetrical folds close to the arms. Those provide freedom of movement. So you have something that looks form-fitting and sculpted, but is comfortable and not restrictive.
