Anyone have a 100% cashmere blazer? There's a couple nice ones on eBay!

Hello everyone,

My name is John, I'm new to the forum and obviously a big fan of the sartorial arts. I've seen a D'Avenza sportcoat I really, really loved and I know that Iprobably won't ever find that in my size which is a 48 US/58 EU long. Terrible being a 6.3ft/191cm tall guy and to love trim Italian fits...Anyhow, I am also very picky when it comes to fabrics and this deadstock D'Avenza sportcoat has the kind of fabric I really dig. I would be curious to know how I could find out which mill produced that fabric and whether there might ever be an option to get a hold of it and or take it to a great Italian tailoring house and have it bespoke made in my size. I remember Rubinacci having a fairly big "archive of fabrics"...so what do you guys think? Feasible? Idiotic idea? Good luck? Or don't even try...? ;-) Will post the pictures of said sportcoat below. Maybe anyone knows anything about that specific fabric or from where D'Avenza was procuring it? I was thinking this coat with a chambray/denim shirt, wool/silk paisley tie, dark brown cordovan shoes/loafers or snuff suede loafers, and charcoal or navy blue flannel pants. Sort of as a nice melange of formal and casual. Oppinions please! :) Looking forward to contributing to the forum as well!

Mille Grazie! It's not exactly the color that I had in mind, but it doesn't look bad at all. Thanks for letting me know! On another note, would you know what fabric the jacket is that I posted on before? Or how I would need to look for that fabric? Anché parlo é scrivo Italiano :)

The vent is pulling open on the jacket, e.g,
it doesn't fit. Otherwise nice fabric and good cut.

Yah I saw that as well, but since it's so far away from my own size it doesn't really matter. But that fabric is really really great! Wish I knew which mill produced it so I could see whether I could buy the fabric somewhere... ;-)

Time has come to start to think about fall/winter wardrobes, therefore I thought I highlight you this amazing, heavy cashmere polo coat from D'avenza. Decribed by Bruce Boyer as the "aristocrat of topcoats" this is a true menswear grail, to cherish for a long time to come. The cut, proportions, fabric and finishing are all top notch, something you would be hard pressed to find off the rack these days. Or maybe for 5x the price of this one.

How much roping and shoulder padding is there on this? Also, do you have pictures of this coat in natural light? I'm looking for a camel polo coat in 100% cashmere. Thanks!

Sorry I can't help with any of those close-up sartorial details, I simply don't know as this was a jacket I've seen on Ebay. I think it was the Sartoriale Ebay Shop. Maybe they can give you more information than I can.

Anyone know anything about this jacket? I love it - looks and fits great but what is "Test C/O" for the model? Thanks!

The shoulders are natural, without padding and rope. You can see this on the picture.
The colour is quite accurate, it is not true camel, a bit lighter. We don't have natural light photos unfortunately. It is made of a beautiful, thick cashmere.

We put together looks based around some spring favorites from our D'avenza assortment. Starting with a grey sharkskin DB suit. The cut is really well balanced, not too agressive, the shoulders are lightly padded, the fabric has a good weight and drape. This suit is great for important business or formal summer events.

Hello I'm Alessandro almost certainly the word test that you see in the label is related to a new model of jacket, practically is a test.
Of course it is a jacket like any other.

At your disposal

Thanks Alessandro - very interesting! I think someone deleted my photo.
