Fit Critique (with a twist) - it's a watch.

Can't decide if this watch is too small. Thought I'd see what some SF'ers think. It's a 1970 model Rolex Air-King.

Here are some pics. Please let me know what you think. I can handle negative feedback. Sorry about the poor quality of the pics. They were taken on an iPhone.

First a decent pic of the watch face.

Now for some "action" photos.

I think it's the narrowness of the band that is giving me pause.

Side note. Thses are my first self-watch-portraits. Wondering when my arms got so hairy and how I never noticed until now.

Definitely not too small. How could it be too small?

The way the band is connected to the clasp, I can loosen the band considerably. I'm kind of between notches; The one it is on is slightly tight and the next one is just a bit looser than I'd prefer. I'll likely go with the looser option.

I'm more concerned about the overall size of the watch case and band width on my wrist, though, than the tightness.

Only by the ludricrous standards of the pocket-watch-on-the-wrist crowd could that be considered too small. It's a nice normal size watch.

Haha, I guess I'm an advocate of the pocket-watch-on-the-wrist.

by small do you mean too tight on the wrist or too small in diameter?

then again it doesn't matter, by either standard it looks utterly normal and average.

No, it looks good. Put it on a black leather strap, though. It'll be gorgeous.

It looks nice. Your norm has no doubt been shifted by the massive watches in vogue today, but that is a great classic design and size. Someday we will look back at today's gigantor watches with some derision.

Nice watch and certainly not too small. It's just that obnoxiously large watches are "in" right now...
