Dear members,
Where can i get a *dark* navy, relatively-lightweight, relatively-slim-fitting 'everyday' cashmere crewneck jumper (without raglan sleeves)?
I tend to find Smedley ('Lundy' model) fits me well, but they don't seem to offer cashmere, and their navy is a little too pale.
I'm not even sure what i should be searching for in terms of weave/gauge/ply, what is harder-wearing, what makes them good/bad, etc, so I'd really like to understand the technical stuff better.
I'd love to hear if members have a go-to model/brand they reach for, whenever they want to wear this staple.
Many thanks indeed for any thoughts/suggestions.

What you're looking for is a simple basic garment, so it won't be difficult to find the right piece, according to your budget. The Oxton sweater by William Lockie is a great classic that I would warmly recommend. Alternatively, Malo, Fedeli, Colombo, Johnstons of Elgin are all good producers.
