I've never seen or handled any Fendi ready-to-wear but I see some fairly interesting items popping up once in a while on Yoox etc. Since it's part of LVMH I guess the quality is on the same level of, say, newer Givenchy, Dior et al, and I guess there's a good chance some of their denims too is made in Japan like DH. For being a pair of distressed jeans by a Euro fashion house, these look surprisingly remarkable imho, like a good pair of LVC's. Certainly not something I'd expect from them: http://www.yoox.com/item/YOOX/FENDI/...D/sts/sr_men80 Anyone have any info on recent Fendi stuff?

Yeah I'm not buying, just curious about the brand. When I think Fendi menswear, I think tacky logo'd sunglasses, scarves, wallets etc.. But it seems like with Givenchy, they've been trying to overhaul it lately..

Fendi Uomo's runway collections are great and have been for several years. Unfortunately, it's VERY hard to find much of the good stuff and the crappy over-logo'd **** gets stuck in the stores and so we think of that when we hear the name. This is NOT stuff that's on the runway, for the most part.

Do a search of the runway shows for Fendi uomo and you'll probably be quite surprised. My guess is that outside of Europe they just don't distribute it much.

Quality, though, is quite good, at least as good or better than the other major players.

First off, I have to comment, those are ass-ugly, they look like Armani Jeans from the 90s. Also, I wouldn't expect the same quality as Dior when it comes to jeans. Couture maybe, but not jeans. I think it's pretty well established that few "high fashion" brands make denim as high quality as theirs, and that they are the exception, rather than the rule. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but in their space, I don't think I've ever seen praise for other jeans.

Ooof. Fendi jeans? Pass on those. Fendi bag and a bad attitude? Yes, that's all I need to put me in a good mood.

Why do fashion houses make horrible jeans? Is it like a game for them?

I have some Fendi sunglasses that I ******* love though, so no hate on Fendi.

+1. Silvia Fendi's collections are among the best shown at Milan IMO.

Since eluxury went under I haven't seen it really stocked in the US. Though, Barneys did carry their men's wedges a couple seasons ago

I beg to differ. Although it's admittedly hard to say from a photo, I'd say they look more PRPS/Acne than Armani. The wash is pretty authentic, and to me seems no inferior to DH. I actually think most high end brands have improved a lot in the jeans department over the past few years. Looking back at some pre-washed Helmut Langs from the early 00's and they look cheap as hell by today's standards. Most fashion houses put out pretty good denims these days.. I'd say one of my best fitting jeans are actually a pair of Balenciagas, and I have tons of jeans from proper jeans makers too!

I find prps to look pretty bad most of the time.

If you wanna drop $$$ on washed/distressed jeans, in my opinion, RRL is far and away the best choice.

edit: although the RRL I'm seeing on ebay at the moment doesn't look as good as some of the RRL I've seen in the past.
