How can you tell they are staggered from that picture?

It's a CL and the lip on the rear wheel is significantly bigger than that of the front wheel. If you look close enough you can tell the back tire is very meaty, probably a 285+ which would not be on the front.

The real G-Wagen - preferably soft top stripped-down short wheelbase (example shown below is a ELBO made example, funnily enough)

to translate a dutch sentence into english: "rather a star in my windshield then a star on my hood" .. It doesnt convey the message as well but its the thought behind it that counts... Allthough I do like the pre 70s benz..

I absolutely love the 300SL

I also am a fan of the W211 E-Class. After '05, they pretty much worked out all the "kinks", so to speak, that were present in the 03-04 models. I have not had ANY major issues with mine. As long as you take care of your car, it should last.

Not a fan of the current S-Class. To me it is just overly designed and there's too much going on aesthetically. The new W212 E's look like Hondas and the the E-Coupe looks like a Honda Civic coupe too. I don't want to pay $70k for a Honda (but they're fine at the regular price point :) ). That being said, the E63 is pretty sweet.

S600 Guard is a fantastic vehicle.
CLK 63 Black Series is near the top of my list too.
