I always enjoy these kinds of threads.

The only person sporting a normal button stance that I have seen is Chris Berman.

I always thought that MH chose his dress style as a result of his build.

MH shoulders are extremely sloped and he has a really long neck - he almost looks like an upside down funnel if you start at his chest (sorry MH! only way I could describe it). My assumption has been that he wanted to de emphasize this look. Thus the high button stance, taller shirt collars and narrow lapels.

His jackets are also extremely closely fitted.

I love Jaws geekiness, but MH kills me on NFL matchup. Same foot, same shoulder, rising bull! Hoo-yeah! That's how you throw a lead block!

He's gotten better this year, but Berman was a slob the past few years. OTR blazer with a gorge to his belly button.

Phillips probably was one of the few figures in sports who rarely, if ever, dressed badly. He favors corporate style, which won't make any "best-dressed" list. As he's seemingly never been super-sized, it likely wasn't difficult for him to do that well.

Berman's suits are MTM Coppley/Samuelssohn from Enson's men's shop in New Haven. He apparently gets them made to fit the best when he is seated.

Bilas also is very broad. The first two jackets pictured aren't good colors for him. Black on such a large man adds to the intimidation factor. Solid light gray emphasizes his width. The third jacket gets it right in color and pattern, though the colorful blue tie with sky blue shirt is a bit much on him.
