Dress Shirt Collar Issue - Won't Play Nice with My Suits

I'm partial to Ledbury dress/casual shirts, particularly their mid-spread collar. I've always worn them in a business casual context, but I've just tried pairing one of these shirts with a suit for the first time, and I find that the points of the collar continually poke out above the lapel of the jacket instead of staying neatly tucked under.

I've seen this before in other people and it always looked sloppy to me. To me, the points of the collar should rest just behind the lapel of the suit. From what I can tell, there's really not much discussion online of how a collar should "rest." Either way, I don't like the look of the collar "floating" above the lapel of the suit.

My question: is the problem that the spread of the collar is wrong or that the height/length of the collar is wrong? In other words, should I just order Ledbury's full-spread collar in hopes that it spreads more "back" and under the lapel or should I choose another maker? I have a longer, more angular face, so I can accommodate a full spread.

If Ledbury is a dead end, any recommendations for a good shirt in the under $130 range? This particular use case is white shirt with suit and no tie.
