I have only seen and use the black box calf for smooth calf, this is a stock leather for them

I almost got in on an EB side zip GMTO, it may have been this one; ultimately decided they were a little too mod squad for me. Seeing these makes me reconsider picking up a pair.
Horween Hatch grain is so choice!

They are beautiful on feet too...
They are some of the coolest boots I've ever seen.
The 375 is a lot larger than the 363mod. I'm a perfect fit in size 10 of the 556, even if it might be a slightly high instep, and these are 0.5 size smaller (9.5) and they fit perfectly; I'm unsure if they are too short or not though, I can feel the front if I put effort into it, and when sole settles down they'll probably be fine.

Hey thanks for your reply. I assume the calf is great quality, but is it robust , for example like the stuff Trickers uses?
Also, does anyone know if EB can use the type of commando sole where the lugs don’t go all the way to the edge of the welt? Or the ridgeway sole?
