I think there was some discussion back about washing either the jacket or pants to match. Might search for it. If you’re wearing that with something that you are worried about getting indigo on you’re doing it wrong...
Wouldn’t wash it unless you’re cool with it shrinking.

Washing won’t stop the bleeding but will give it some really nice patina over time. I love that jacket and the various pants from the same fabric.
