Steam the bejeesus out of the shiny part, and while it's still damp from steam, briskly brush it with a clothing brush. Repeat until it's not shiny anymore.

I suppose this is common sense, but don't directly place the iron on your wool trousers - ever. Instead, use a cloth (towel will do) over the wool to prevent this in the future.

Not sure if you needed/wanted this advice, but it seemed from the short post you might benefit from it.

You can also try using a medium coarse brush to raise the fabric, if you are desperate.
