So, I don't know how many of you are famililar, but this is how a Dutch Auction works (courtesy Wikipedia)

A Dutch auction is a type of auction in which the auctioneer begins with a high asking price which is lowered until some participant is willing to accept the auctioneer's price, or a predetermined reserve price (the seller's minimum acceptable price) is reached. The winning participant pays the last announced price.

We are going to auction off one custom title. The auction will take place for one day or until we get a winner, and then, I'll start again tomorrow, maybe, if I feel like it.

The rules are:

1) The title can't be offensive to another, individual, user, except by explicit consent of that second user, who also wants to participate in the funny.
2) The title must, must, must, be funny
3) The title must have something to do with forum activity in some way. It can't be plucked out of nowhere. I reserve the right to ask that evidence be furnished.
4) The title needs at least 3 thumbs up from the community.
5) I have to be okay with the title

With that in mind, I start the reverse bidding at $1500. Is any baller out there willing to pay $1500 to the Ronald McDonald House for the privilege/dubious honor?

Cheers,

Fok.

Great idea. This should be a Charity Auction staple.

I suspect some lucky person is going to win the title of "Internet Small-timer"...

Does the winner choose the title? or are there going to be specific titles that will be aucitoned off
Winners get to lead the discussion that leads the title. They are allowed a veto.

Um, $1300.
