Does anybody know if Dries Van Noten is still using the label with the intertwined N and D?
If not when did he stop using it?

Yes, it really matters. Or… maybe it doesn't. How important is anything we discuss here, relative to let’s say the war in Iraq, the meaning of life, or my wife having a bad hair day?
Anyway, I have found this Dries van Noten jacket that I think is from his ‘05 fall and winter collection, however the label puzzles me because I have not seen that style label in years. Did he start using it again, or is this a vintage jacket?

Thanks

This is so a LabelKing question?
He'd know I bet.

I hear great things about DVN, for a fashion label, I hear they do some quality items.

I just checked some pieces from that collection and they don't have that label.

Here's a current label:

Dries Van Noten is fine quality, in the same category as Martin Margiela, Comme des Garcons, and less commercial brands like that.

Thank you labelking

Now we're getting somewhere.

First of all, the jacket is guarantied authentic. It was bought at Mitchells Westport. It has all the right tags and a price tag.
So the question is not: is it authentic, but rather; is it a brand-new item from the early 90's, or is it from a recent collection? The reason I think it might be old, is the design of the label. It has the very characteristic intertwined N and D. He was using this label when he started out in the mid eighties.
I like Dries van Noten a lot, and I have some of his shirts and sweaters, some are old and they have the intertwined N and D label, some are new, and they have a much simpler label, like the one labelking shows.
So the question remains; did he revive the old label, and put it in his latest collections?
Somebody out there knows this.

Thanks for all the responses.
BTW here's the item in question http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9366&rd=1&rd=1

The DVN shirt I have has the same label LK posted. Also, I think it was made in Italy rather than Belgium.
