Dolce and Gabbana Shirt Review

Seems that Dolce and Gabbana shirts (button down) are not talked about too much on the forum.

Would like to hear some peoples opinions, my local discount store has a bunch for $39.99.

I do have a slimmer build, so these shirts might not be the best fit.

(apologies if my searching abilities are sub-par)

Thanks

$40?

Those are likely fakes or irregulars (tacky regardless). I'd contact a legit D&G retailer to verify whether they wholesale to this 'local discount store'.

I can do it for you if you like, but don't buy anything until you find out.

D&G is what you wear to look like Russian Nouveau Riche, which is a crass way of saying they're a bit too "fashion forward" for most of the tastes around here. If you're curious about good quality shirts with a slim fit, however, I would direct you to this thread: The Definitive Guide to Slim Fit Shirts

Is it from the main line? The fit varies from slim to snug.

If you have a slim build, they should be a good fit for you.
If you can get them at $40 and they are real, and they fit and look good, why not?
I have a couple D&G shirts in basic colors that I picked up on clearance. I like the fit and they are of decent quality (relative to what I paid for them).

If I could find real ones for that price I'd be snapping them up - D&G is pretty slim fitting in general and are listed in the slim fit shirt thread too.

That's a little harsh, no? $40 for any shirt is cheap and, whatever D&G's fashion leanings, many designers put out pretty normal-looking shirts.

That... And most men wouldn't know what you're wearing anyway (I know guys who have to look down to tell you what THEY'RE wearing).

D&G's patterns aren't too off the wall (neither are most of Versace's)... Not to the point of being unique or an eyesore at least.

I'd rather spend $40 on Abercrombie than any amount on a rip-off. Doesn't matter what you spend, just know what you're getting.

Dolce Gabanna (not D&G) casual shirts are very slim and often contain 3-5% lycra. Collars are tall but soft and unlined. Pigment is very weak and fading after 2 washes. I would only consider DG if you found a pattern that you absolutely love, otherwise it is a very poorly made garment and not worth owning at any price.

While Dolce & Gabbana may not be the greatest shirts, it's probably one of the best values out there for $40

The fit also depends on the line, I picked up a 'Basic' in plain blue and the arms are short and the body is huge, it fit like a Brooks Bros shirt. I also got a 'Slim Fit' and my fat 160lb ass couldn't fit into it because I don't have wash board chest.
