I know all this. Yes 60% of India's pop is under the poverty line, but what about the rest? The medium class in india numbers at approx 300million, the entire population of the US. People are the only ones that can help bring a change around, that and the government.

that number is exactly what is being debated now - are there 500 million or 900 million indians under the "povert line" - nobody really knows for sure. get some suits together and we can talk about it for hours. I'd say that it is closer to 900 million than 500 million, myself.

It depends where you go. Big cities generally are bad. But India is 700,000 small villages. There is smell of flowers, rain drenched soil & also of cowdung!

About Numbers, it doesn't matter if its 500 or 900. I can see it being either, the problem is that its tremendously HUGE.
