How would an online shopper whom cant feel clothing and stuff like that know what types of clothing is superior... like 100% cotton vs 50%polyester & 50% cotton and thier differences. Theres too many... is there a major thread or database someone knows about explaining these things? thanks =D

Here are some guidelines:
  • Natural fibers are superior to synthetic
  • Search the archives here for discussions of manufacturer quality
  • There is a correlation between cost and quality
  • If the discount is high enough (eg: eBay), sometimes you have to take a chance

Maybe if you narrow it down a bit.

Are you looking for suits? For shoes? Denim? It's hard to answer such a general question. The forum members are very knowledgeable, but without details, it's like a shot in the dark. Be specific and I believe you will be rewarded.

Not always.

Sort of. Sometimes. Kinda. tallguy, there is absolutely no simple answer to this. Quality is complicated, and you need to learn the details to put it all together. If you're just interested in knowing what's generally considered good and what isn't, you can pick that up quickly enough by just reading here for a while.

Note, Arethusa, I said "guidelines". Correlation, in particular, is a statistical concept. The OP sounded overwhelmed, and once you've narrowed your search to a few options, the archives answer all.
