Here is an MP 365 that one of our shoemakers had been wearing for about 6 months straight. Dark brown waxed flesh.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE EM! Thank you White's and Baker's.

Semi-dress last (bounty hunter)
8 inch
Soft toe
Close trim
Nickel hardware
Honey vibram soles

Merry Christmas everyone!
Those are great boots man! I am planning to get something soon, wondering if the heel lifts on your boots are standard or one lift lower?

With new style, boots lost White's unique style and recognition. If you take off name, M365 boots look identical to another brands ...

Identical to which brand? The MP pattern doesn’t look like any service boot offered by their contemporaries. That heal counter just screams White’s to me. It’s very unique to their brand IMO.

I don’t see it. I own Vibergs and a pair of Trumans. The MP looks different and I wouldn’t ever mistake them.

That's my opinion, take it or leave it. MP style became very popular, i hope it will help to White's move inventory.
I tend to agree with you rustygold... if one looks at the picture of the brown waxed flesh MPs sambam posted, being honest with oneself, and with the counter largely covered by the pants leg, it is hard to tell the White's MP from all the other "service boots" on the market...

I am not saying it is not different, but it is not different enough to immediately identify as Whites... something about the toe and cuban heel of the semi dress screams Whites, and no other maker... I hope the MP sells well, but it is not unique in appearance (in my opinion).

^ I think you guys may be right about the style being less distinctively White’s, but it still seems worth having available White’s version of this sort of service boot so that you can get whites quality. And it’s nice for those who might want to maintain brand loyalty but get a slightly different style boot.

The MP is a 350 smokejumper upper with a repair packer counter. Throw in a modified barrie last and there you have it. We felt like we should build a service boot to bring our hand welted quality to this style of boot . Also with our all leather shank this boot does give more arch support than those other boots. If we don't come out with new products than Whites will eventually go away. We have to be aggresive and try to grab market shares from all aspects. So the MP is not your typical whites look, but we have a whole new type of customer that loves it.

Quick question for the White's brain trust:

Why do so many of the White's boots for sale on eBay have small round holes punched through the leather of the uppers near the logo? Is this for attaching gaffs? Is it a way of marking boots as seconds or non-rebuildable? I am just curious since the holes seem mostly to appear on boots that have seen hard use?

Anyone know?

Thanks...

All factory seconds from Red Wing should be with punched hole.

Now that the Danite sole is on the MP and the Kinney Chukka, can one order them on a semi-dress build as well?
