Cufflinks as birthday gift?

It's all a question of taste. For me, personally, the cufflinks are too loud, but someone else might love them. Does you husband wear French cuff a lot?

I much prefer the gold ones. From a distance they won't look overly ostentatious, but up closer there's a lot of nice detail work. The gold/silver color combo is also fairly versatile.

The pink ones are awful. Impossible to match and overly showy.
