Dear all:

Has anyone ever had any experience with the following website: www.automaxq8.com - it claims to be Boglioli UK outlet. Not sure where it is based, but the C&J shoes shown there seem carry heavy discount. Anyone know whether they are genuine?

No chance that’s a legitimate retailer

If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is

Definitely a scam site, once you enter into checkout you find out its not even a https (secured page), all those fake Norton/protected/safe logos are just a dead giveaway, they are basically taking your credit card # from that page (they even ask for your CVC security #) they will probably tell you its out of stock and steal your money/ or even refund you the full amount to maintain an air of legitimacy / but steal your credit card # and sell it to fraudsters. The owners of that site probably sold dozens of credit card numbers by now and will committed thousands in credit card fraud before being caught... or they will often use the credit cards themselves to obtain legit luxury goods from ebay, and then reselling them. Man...what a business model.

Its very hard to take them down, as they can just claim they have a poorly designed website... and your credit cad info is not secure, buyer takes all risks of using such a website.

Thanks.

A side note: any comments on Magnanni sold at off 5th Saks avenue website?

Hi, I own three pair of loafers from Magnanni. One i rubber soled that I got from Nordstrom, another is a blake stitched Faleo from Nordstrom Rack and the other is a Made for Saks which is identical to the Faleo except the bottom is orange.

The leather is decent, so they will take a polish and the shoes are light. A little towards the Euro side, style. I have enough A/E, Alden and Crockett and Jones which lean a little towards traditional British. The blue pair by Saks turned a lighter blue where I stretched them a bit so they have the most beautiful patina. Dark on the moccasin stitching and it come with a burnished toe.

I bring the rubber soled ones and a belt in case the weather gets wet. You can see the blake stitching by looking in the shoes.
