Hi everyone,

First, I would like to say hello, because it's my first post on this forum :)

Secondly I have a favor to ask.

Recently I've started to work at the shoes store, and I've found myself to be interested in purchasing a pair of the Loake shoes. For example I like this model: http://www.barnetsshoes.co.uk/loake...wn-polished-leather-shoe.ir?cName=gents-loake

I was hoping to receive any comments on this brand. Is it worth the money you spend on it? I've noticed that this store has pretty good prices when comparing it to other shops.

Thanks in advance for the help :)

I wouldn't be so sure. JL like EG have made some weird stuff in the past. There were some designs going for cheap about 1-200 in the sales a year or two ago

Weird stuff ok, but also blake stitched?

I don't see any stitching on the welt area.

Thanks for posting. I bought a pair (had a 10% off ebay coupon too). Went down 1.5 sizes so we'll see how they fit.

Bally Scribe NIB $379 (other sizes available) His pics don't do justice to these shoes:(

Great purchase... and for around $350 shipped, you did outstanding. Please post pics when they arrive. I predict you will be very happy.

Well, there's JL that's made in France and in Italy. Don't see why sleek loafers couldn't be blake/rapid just because of their JL brand on it (outsourced most likely).

Do not promote your store by acting like you are a customer. If you want, pay money to styleforum to promote your store.

Thats a bit harsh. The guy could have posted the link without mentioning he worked in the store and not aroused any suspicision that he was advertising. I respect his honesty and would give hime the benefit of the doubt, afterall it is his first post.
