Cool interior design/decor stores in Manhattan?

I'll be in Manhattan next week and I'm keen on browsing interior design stores, looking for interesting decorative articles. I would describe my home's motif as warm modernist. I will be downtown, but I'll travel uptown for a worthwhile stop.

Suggestions on where to stop by?

It's a small store. When I stopped by what they had was uninspiring and extremely expensive for the quality.

Muji looks like it rebrands Made in China things as "high design."

Well, that's disappointing. I guess I will just try to stop in when I'm in the area. After all that hype, I figured it'd be somewhat cool. Ah well.
