my kitchen is the opposite of a high-tech lab. my stove is a 1954 O'Keefe and Merritt. The tile goes quite well with that homey feel.
Hmmm. The foundation is 'lava rock', but the surface is enamel - because lava rock be itself would be useless. I don't much like the look if it. The new quartz patterns are more attractive IMO.
My 1953 O'Keefe & Merritt is sitting at the top of my stairs waiting for a new home (in case anyone wants Foodguy's kitchen for themselves).
