Anyone has the Loake db with crepe sole? Looked more substantial than clarks, but still "unstructured".

And Im sure it has been mentioned numerous times in this thread, but how does clarks dbs hold up to wear? Loose stitching? Holes? Fast wear on the sole?

In my own experience, DB is quite durable, well, the crepe sole did wear down kind of fast, but I guess that's how crepe is.

Probably my favorite color of all that I own. And very hard to find these days.

I have two pair and I guess they wear OK. I was disappointed when one pair came unglued from the sole after less than a year. Just had a cobbler glue it back for $20. Meh. Now I'm looking for better alternatives, which will prob cost more. But I think of these kick-around shoes that you don't worry about.

After only a year? Wow. You must be rough on them.

sand is a whitish khaki. very light. for whatever reason, the color doesn't seem to reproduce accurately on the Web.

It has too much. Not basic enough for a desert boot look. I also don't like the shine of the leather or the white sole.

Nice. Oddly, though, I've never seen Desert Boots in a Clarks store. I've only seen them in other kinds of shoe b&ms.

my clarks desert boots finally came in

I got them in black, are the soles meant to be the normal cream color but just painted or did I just cop some fakes. (the bottom of the sole are still cream color)
