Charcoal socks are too "blue" for charcoal pants?

I struggle with socks. I have small feet and the only company that really fits well has been Viccel. Reasonably priced too.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what to do with their charcoal grey socks with certain pants.

For instance, I have some charcoal/black plaid wool pants (it's subtle, looks charcoal from afar). I prefer to match the pants so don't have the "boot effect" when matching shoes.

However, I've just taken to black socks with my charcoal pants because the socks from Viccel were too "blue" in tone. I decided to try charcoal again with them in a recent order...

Still an issue. Maybe I'm just too sensitive to it though?

I think you might be going a bit overboard here. Socks don't have to completely match the pants. If you show a picture of the pants with each pair of socks people could suggest which looks better. But, in general if you're trying to match shades for an exact match you're probably taking things too far.
