That's what I thought too but pics are trickling in of the individual pieces, check blackbird's blog. I thought the spring show was crap but having handled a lot of the fall pieces it's evident the dude has serious skills. My olive down vest is hands down the dopest **** ever, I'll have to post a pic of it. I heard fall is going to be ridiculous as well from those in the know.

Excellent quality/price ratio, I don't know how he does it.

I like this Spurr jacket:

I'm sure the tag will damp my interest somewhat, but anyone know what it is or who stocks?

The Robert Geller stuff looks a lot better in that superfuture thread than it does on GQ. Something about the lighting, the poses, and the background makes all the models look like scary homeless people.

I'll +1 that. The pieces look really well detailed, and the color they call "khaki" looks very complex, as does the browns. Some of the pieces are costumey (the oversized loose knit cardigans, for example) but the outerwear looks remarkable, like the best of Cloak, say, FW03 and FW04.

The only piece that I don't think fits into the F/W collection is that Parachutist Jacket, and the accessories and the "Tibet" outerwear are probably my favorite.

I just spoke with Daiki and Angelo and as I expected it hadn't sunk in yet. Daiki, as you would imagine was very humbly appreciative to all of you who have supported him.

Yay Daiki and Angelo!

Today, to celebrate, I wore two pieces of Engineered Garments - my Engineer's Jacket (FW06 - most flattering jacket I own. Length, proportions, are perfect for me, as is the dark navy color), and a henna colored henley, a one of a kind sample courtesy of Jay Allen. Combined with a thick leather belt and 5EP jeans, I felt like I could go chop wood or haul something. But... I went to the gym, and then worked in my home office instead.

"Up next: creating a mini-collection to be sold this fall at levi.com and select Bloomingdale's locations for one month (and other retailers thereafter), not to mention finding a way to spend the $50,000 award."

Congrats EG. Great prize money, and I'm looking forward to seeing the mini-collection.
