I can't take a half decent photo to save my life, and the rate of ~$5 per photo is a bargain (in my opinion).

HDR EVERYTINGIt's mainly cranking the clarity or local contrast/structure slider up to 11 when you shoot under cloudy or overcast conditions.
...also most likely requires having a camera better than my iPhone potato
