I support the banning purely as revenge for the hours of ear pain those things have put me through

You know what bothers me more than this, well there is a lot, but concerning earbuds. People that drive listening to music with earbuds, controlling their iphone/ipod to change tracks and etc... I just get this urge to hit them in traffic and then bring evidence in court showing that they were listening to their ipod and then they pay for the damages, physical ailments I incurred and my mental instability due to the accident.

But yeah, buy some headphones and listen to some music, not too difficult. If you don't want to listen to music listen to a NPR or something. I used to record conan o'brien and convert his monologue to mp3 so i can listen the next morning on the way to school/work. They take effort to annoy you, you make an effort to be annoyed, use your effort to balance it out.

I have experienced this to a degree. I don't understand how/why ppl have the volume on so loud that I can hear the leakage as clearly as if I were listening to it on my own iPod. Plus they don't stay in the ear very well and sound like **** anyway. Probably doesn't make a difference to the douche who is listening to ripped/stolen MP3s but I roll strictly lossless on my iPod thru Bang Olufsen earphones... :slayer:

Where else can one get music from?

You still buy CDs?

I am a bit of an audiophile so I do notice the difference b/t MP3 and FLAC.... and if you must know I have had connections to various radio stations since college. Along with that comes access to almost any piece of recorded music imaginable... tape, CD, vinyl or otherwise (like Edison cylinders, carts, or 8 tracks if that's your thing)

- They come free with the iPod
- I'm broke

Pretty straightforward reason to be using them. As for other people, most of them don't really care that much about sound quality so I can see why they'd be wearing them. Once they break, of course I'm getting better earphones (roommate's dog destroyed my nice sennheiser sound canceling ones). Deal with it.
