Can these chinos be salvaged?

Hello All,

I have made some mistakes while attempting to iron a couple of pairs of chinos I own. I was in a hurry and must have had the iron set too hot. Essentially it almost looks like I have burnt off some of the dye in the fabric in lines that correspond to the tip of the point of the iron as it traveled along the chinos. The lines one the pants are lighter in colour that the rest of the fabric, other than that there does not feel to be any changes in texture of the lines.

As an aside, I have laundered the chinos using Versaceman's stain guide I have found here, an there has been no change in the look of the chinos.

I have reserved myself to the fact that if i wanted to attempt to remedy this issue without buying new chinos, I was going to have to attempt to re-dye them. Before I go our and buy dye in an attempt to re-dye these chinos, is there anything else that I could possibly try that might reduce the appearance of the lines on these chinos?

The pictures were taken with a cell phone camera, but do not appear to show the lines as clearly as they appear in person, I will have to grab more pictures with an actual camera tomorrow and update the thread.

Thanks for the help in advance
