I picked up some of my first MTM shirts recently and the collar on them is about 2 inches high which is way too high for me. Unfortunately the tailor didn't ask about the height and in my inexperience I didn't think of it either.

I'm afraid I might now the answer to this but can the collar on these shirts be shortened? I haven't asked the tailor about it yet. Any advice?

Ask the tailor.

The same problem here. Why picked you some shirts up? Is starting with one so difficult?

take it back to him, explain your issue. he should be able to remove and replace the collars with a shorter version if he still has the fabric in stock.

A lot of tailors have minimum orders. I ordered my first set of custom shirts (so not really MTM) and they had a 6 shirt minimum
