Camel Coat Ideas

Good Evening Boys,

So I'm looking for a camel coat this winter.----- However, I'm a bit picky and frustrated in finding any jackets that fit the criteria I'm looking for, so I was hoping somebody out there might be able to steer me in the right direction.

I'm open to a pea coat or slightly longer, but not a full overcoat. ---- Ideally, I would like this to be slightly longer than a pea coat, or realistically a shorter overcoat. Understanding the limitations of this, I can settle for a standard pea coat.

I'm looking for something slim and tailored, without too much tacky excess (buckles, zippers etc.) and without an obnoxiously large collar. To top it of.......... within a $200-$500 price range. I'm having some serious trouble yielding results here.

Thus far I have found this jacket from Michael Kors:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/michael...ferralID=1997feaa-5968-11e3-9f1f-001b2166becc

I apologize for the novel, but I'm thinking if bought a size down, and possibly tailored, the Michael Kors jacket is an option. ---- BUT, I'm a bit leary of the zipper pockets and the buckle around the collar. Any of you gentleman have any opinions on this jacket? --- Or better yet, any ideas that might steer me towards some examples similar to the below?

Much appreciated.

Some near perfect examples of what I have in mind:

Charles Tyrwhitt has one that is 3/4 length. It also has a ticket pocket, not sure if that bothers you.

Comrade,

Can't say I wouldn't mind it!

----Muslinski,

Thank You for the reccomendation but that looks a bit darker than what I had in mind.

I came across this from J Crew:

http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/outerwear/topcoats/PRDOVR~05660/05660.jsp?color_name=saddle

Looks pretty close to what I'm looking for, but I'd have to get a better feel for the color. It's called "saddle" and looks a bit on the khaki-er side of things, but relatively close. The color swatch on the site to the right looks a bit more camel so I'm hoping I can get some better pictures from them.

Sometimes website portrayals are deceiving and I hope this is the case!

camels don't need coats, they are used to the cool desert nights.
