Buzz Rickson M-65 sizing

I’ve been looking for my ideal M-65 and Buzz Rickson seems to give me the best quality to price ratio, but I’m unsure on the sizing.

I’m a 39/40, generally a medium in U.K. sizes, around 6 foot tall and fairly slim. Am I likely to find the medium right for me, or do they come up large and I’d be better sizing down to a small? Not a fan of over long sleeves too, so I’d be interested in any experience there.

If it helps anybody else, I went with a medium and the fit is spot on.

Was it a medium 38 or a medium 40? It looks like some dealers badge the 38 as medium and some badge the 40 as medium.
